Guides on finding, understanding and dealing with wasp nests.
The standard price is £70 per nest, but a nest that cannot be reached safely may cost more. Here is what counts as hard access and how it is handled before anyone visits.
The visit is not quite the end of the story. Here is what the following hours and days usually look like, and what is worth reporting if wasps are still about.
When single wasps keep appearing in a bedroom, particularly at night or first thing in the morning, the nest may be directly overhead, and the right response is calm, careful and quick.
A nest in the roof space or wall cavity can send wasps into the house if it is disturbed, so tackling it yourself risks bringing the problem inside.
A summerhouse or garden office is used daily, so a wasp nest is not only an outdoor problem; it affects work, family time and the people who walk past it.
